Age-Appropriate Sexual Behaviours: Recognising and Responding
Misinterpreting children’s sexual behaviours can lead to overreaction or missed concerns. This workshop uses the traffic light approach to equip professionals to distinguish between typical development and indicators of harm, ensuring proportionate responses.
The session will cover:
- Frameworks for age-appropriate sexual behaviours.
- Identifying red flags: behaviours that may signal risk.
- Communicating with parents and staff about sensitive behaviours.
- Balancing safeguarding with normal development.
